Few weeks

Hi,

Sorry we haven't updated in a long time. Bubba has made great progress at Lindamood Bell. When he started the program he was reading at kindergarten level or below. He is now reading at 2nd grade level. I am so excited for him. During the last few weeks Bubba had visitors. Jamie and my mom visited on two separate weeks. Jamie and mom cried tears of joy when they heard our little man read. It was and is amazing. This journey has been truely incredible. Another update Bubba did was he went into the mens bathroom all by himself. This is major for our little man cause that would have never happened. He always goes into the bathroom with his mom. Yay bubba.

Tired day

I can see all the progress this little boy has made and it AMAZES me. We went snowboarding/skiing yesterday and we took little baby steps. Bubba went down the bunny hill all day. It was his second time ever snowboarding and he decided to go off the jumps and he did. Bubba did wipe out but he kept at it. The tow ropes really stunk at Wild Mountain. Bubba had a really hard time getting up when he was the only one on the rope. The second rope went really fast and the BIG kids made it difficult but by the end of the night Bubba tried to go up it twice. Yes he fell but he still TRIED. Very proud of him. He amazes me a little more every day.

Happy

My little Bubba, what an amazing guy he is. Yesterday during his second hour I was told that he read the word refrigerator. All by himself. It's crazy how he can go from barely reading to totally reading. Bubba is truly smiling, genuine smiles. Bubba is laughing real belly roll laughs. It is so awesome. I am so happy to see this little boy come out of his shell. Lindamood Bell truly rocks.

WOW factor

So I went through the "show off" part of Bubba's school. It was great, his progress has slowed down a bit but he is still doing AWESOME. Bubba was very tired and not really willing to show off. Today he was very mad at me cause I made plans to go shopping with my mom, Linda Garden, & Alex. Alex was very excited to go to the Mall of America and ride some rides and that just set Bubba off. Well I was in with Bubba the first hour and holy smokes can he read. I am utterly totally amazed. I sat in there and listened word by word. It was so fun. Lindamood Bell is awesome. Bubba told me what the story he was reading was about and he read it. I can't believe what a different person he is. He truely amazes me. I know I have more but I am tired and will think about it more later. Way to go Bubba.

SMILES & SADNESS

I don't really know where to start. I have not posted in a while, life is just a little hectic. Jamie, my sister, stated the other day that she has noticed this little Bubba smile. Not just a little smile but big actual smiles. Bubba is truely happy. I LOVE it. We LOVE it. We are so proud of him.

The SADNESS that is happening in our life at school is that Bubba's case manager Erica is leaving and persuing options at HCMC. She is a fabulous case manager and we are sad to see her go but so happy she is going to have a new adventure. GOOD LUCK miss Erica, you will be missed.
